Can We Become a Family?

Duke is the worst father in the comics who isn’t meant to be a bad character? You’re one of the most powerful men in the country, you’re having an affair, and you don’t hire a man to keep an eye on her. You do time loops 8 times and 8 times (maybe there were more loops). When you meet a child who has your eyes and looks like your lover and be the age when the romance had fruit, the age agrees. Additionally, the child’s parents are completely unknown.

They never met in any of the other time loops though. He didn’t even know she existed & he couldn’t even leave the manor so she never even seen him until this 8th loop. Thats why he was so shocked he had never seen her before in the world/other loops until she tried to make it to his manor when the brat fake brother tried to kill her again. He didn’t know the mom was pregnant, she just up & disappeared on him never mentioned being pregnant to anyone, because she had that foresight vision of them dying/self destruction every which way if they tried to stay together so she went off to make a deal with the moon deity so she could spend 100 days with the child after she was born,
before she died, because the baby was an incarnation, & after the kid looped & died 8 times she could finally meet her real dad who was also an incarnation of another deity & they both survive at the same time without killing one another. But duke wasn’t let in on any of this & he was waiting for her to come back. That’s why he was growing his hair so long. So of course he kinda imagined her being their kid, but he didn’t think it was an actual possibility because the wife disappeared, never told him she was pregnant, & any child that he’d had before died because 2 incarnations aren’t supposed to be able to exist at the same time & since he was the more powerful grown incarnation, the kid was always the one to die as an infant. 🤓
