First three chapters in and so much has happened but not much explanation for what’s going on. Like, how did people know her tears would turn into pearls when she never cried? How is she related to the guy that finds her? If her mom was a normal woman than why is she half mermaid? But we get plenty of exposition dump to know the guy is really powerful at least.
