The real problem here is that the seal of the duchy should only be accessible to the Duke or The duchess, and in this case the butler as well, if someone else has access to it, it means that one of those three has effed up. This should honestly be a huge problem that is tantamount to “treason” against the dutchy. This should also make it very easy to find out who it is that messed up the order

I’m happy for FL, but I can’t help but feel sympathy to the previous Chloe. She was a naive girl, who wasn’t given a proper guidance and education. And I believe she’s quite young as well which make sense that contributes to her timid and immature decision. Also, I’m a bit upset with the duke, he never tried to help her, and never stand up for her even when he sees the previous FL in discomfort. He ignored her and allowed the abuse in his own house, that is serious injustice. I hope the current FL will not forget the mistreatment that the previous FL endured.
