If that’s truly the case, why don’t Lucius bear any resemblance to his birth parents? They’re clearly blond, how come he’s black-haired and red-eyed?? What am I missing?

his mom is the duke’s sister. so he has his uncle looks even tho well hes not the father. u dont nessarily have to look like ur parents u can look more liek ur grandparents or ur uncle/aunts (who like ur grandparents) ^_^

Sometimes children can take on the look of past generations rather than their parents. I know of some like that, my adopted father’s army picture looked identical to my adult cousins image as if they were twins.

Genetics can be tricky sometimes, some people take the relative’s features through the parents’ genes, take me as an example, I look like a mini version of grandma, lus probably resembles his grandpa since that’s how cassis looks too
