I’ve read the Novel and I hated the ml sooo much …! everyone (except uncle Bill & 2nd ml) treats her like trash . And ml uses her like some sort of use and throw product..! I couldn’t bring myself to read more after a little less than 100 chapters coz I was so stressed ! I wanted the 2nd ml to be with her but well that’s not possible I guess….! BUT…to be honest I’m still gonna read this manhwa coz the art’s amazing and although I hated the ml .. it’s actually pretty interesting up untill some point when *spoiler* 2nd ml leads mother messes up everything &the ml starts raping her every night ! …………..to be honest I’m kinda into dark toxic stuff so I’ll come again 🌚

I was so curious since the ml has such bad reputation that I finished reading the last chapter of the novel. But oh boy he’s literally so disgusting like he dragged the pregnant fl who escaped from him to his military base. N as she had severe fever she unconsciously never mentioned his name but Kyle (the doc’s son). That made him so angry that he shook her aggressively n saying that she can’t escape even if she die n that she’s only his. Than kissed her kill her lips bleed but still the fl only sought for Kyle n others but not him.

I’m not sure on how to describe this novel.. the ml is too cruel but same time I loved his personality being so tough and cold to the fact that he loves no one but himself,he always get what he wanted but never once in his life to had desires to own something until he

Everything changed ..he wasn’t aware of those emotions he felt in the process of getting layla as the centre of his desire… Anger, hate, humiliation, jealousy, frustration over something out of his control..( the feeling of being powerless and disarmed ) the desire to have Layla completely ruined his perfection as an aristocratic duke of arves..
Based on my understanding, Layla fell inlove with him at first sight but of course as a young child she wasn’t aware of that.. (its more on admiration )they actually both fascinated with each others from the start… But Layla denied her feelings to the duke and the duke failed to recognise his feelings as well… They started with a toxic relationship full of hatred for each others and slowly turning it into something called ‘love” for Mattias this word is out of his vocabulary so can’t blame him for being cruel.. 😅
I’ve read so many novels but I would say this is the best and the most captivating novel I’ve ever read.. for me to read and rereading it 15th times.. I’m certified obsessed with this novel….. I can’t move on.. 😭 I’m actually looking for something similar to this one .. I love everything about this novel.. very well written… I love you author.. 😭…

Love the novel and the manhwa, so gorgeous! Kyle may be a perfect man but from beginning to end Layla only sees him as a friend and brother. Accept that so you won’t get stressed, lol. As for Matthias actions, he’s crazy and obsessed, he gets what he wants no matter how. Oh the pain but glad I hold on till the end and it’s worth it. the ML lead is one of the most blackest flag out there i tell you! i grew impatient because update takes longer than i thought for this manhwa, so i decided to read the novel itself…it was toxic as hell and ML doesn’t have charac development (vv toxic, a rapist , and rudee) and FL is just DUMB😭 if it wasn’t for VAN.J. being one of the artist for the webtoon adaptation i wouldn’t be reading this one..

Having completed the novel, here are my thoughts:
The male lead’s behavior is profoundly toxic, suggesting he may be mentally unstable. Despite his charming exterior, his actions throughout the story reveal an obsessive, rather than loving, attitude towards the female lead. His desire to control her leads him to extreme measures, such as harming things she cares about and coercing her into prostitution to protect her uncle from legal consequences, which he orchestrated anyway. Despite hoping the author would impart a lesson, the male lead ultimately ends up with the female lead, likely due to Stockholm syndrome, and she is carrying his child. There’s a hope for remorse, yet the male lead adamantly refuses to regret his actions, indicating a lack of empathy. It’s clear that if he approached the situation differently, the female lead wouldn’t have suffered as she did. She’s already endured much hardship, with only her uncle as family

I have to say that there are upcoming traumatic scenes, it would be too much to bear for those who are faint at heart. I’ve read the novel, it is indeed a very twisted love until the end his obsession will never change. Although I didn’t regret reading the novel until it’s very last chapter’s, since Matthias sure will have his understanding and realization. They both are kind of twisted so everyone who wants to read until the end be ready, the ending will atleast give you the satisfaction.
