I thought that too! I came to the comments to see if anyone else had noticed! Although I don’t believe that Tristan has any ill intention towards the FL. Clearly he likes her, but I feel that he was more worried and I hope that is the case. I really don’t want this to be another story where her best friend turns hostile towards the ML.

THANK GOD I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT OF THAT MYTH!! I (somewhat softly) SCREAMED WHEN IT CAME TO MIND AT WORK (I work graveyard at a residential MH facility). My coworker asked if I was ok and I told her about this (because she’s as much of a myth person as I am) and she understood completely. Luckily we were at a section of the house where the clients couldn’t hear my scream
