Ren Ain't Quite Right
I’m sorry, but this is just based on my observations and opinion: just because she grew to adulthood in her previous life didn’t really make her an “adult”. This child was kidnapped at the age of 10, locked away in the dark, abused to some unspecified degree for years, and the majority of her human interactions since were with young children. Her intelligence stems from being a royal educated from an early age, and that education stopped when she was taken. When exactly was she going to learn how to BE an adult?
I can’t help but feel a little frustrated and sad when protagonists like Leticia are treated like/think of themselves as adults in children’s bodies when they’re really not; at least, mentally/emotionally.
