Some panels are out of order. Duke picks Jewel up, tells Max “don’t come to my place anymore, ill come to you.” And Jewel looks over his shoulder at Max, thinking that her father must really care about him even if “Max doesn’t seem to be aware the Duke cares” based on his facial expression (she thinks Duke is trying to accommodate a broke student/mercenary instead of warding off a potential suitor).
And the later parts with the carrying are mirrored/flipped. And also missing the panels showing him carrying her through the party. With “Rose’s Birthday. End.”
