Kinda hate this -.- he’s been abusing her for years (by ignoring, not physically, but still), sent her away without any explanation after she literally dedicated her life to him, then after six years he shows up due to his own profit. The whole situation in the forest is actually his fuckup because how could any assassins show up that close to his residence??? And now he’s the hero cause he promised to bring the child to the zoo and got stabbed once and non deadly. Wow what a father what a husband. I’m sorry but he ain’t shit and if he’s automatically forgiven after this arc I’m dropping this shit
Well, the assassin thing is not entirely his fault. After all, it’s the girl’s dad that sent those assassins in the first place.
Also, if you don’t like the plot so much, then stop reading it. You guys are kind of agitating me. I get she’s had a tough life cause of that stupid guy, but it’s her decision whether she wants to get back with him cause he protected them. It’s not like he did all those things to you guys. Like give the poor guy a break. It’s obvious he’s trying to be better for her, but I don’t think he knows entirely how to do that.

People here keep criticizing the Emperor for being a shit husband. Well that may be true but isn’t Astelle a shit mom too for lying to her kid about her dad?? It’s not the Emperor’s entire fault to begin with.. she didn’t say a word about her pregnancy, all the Emperor did was divorce her on the first day.. going through hell for her pregnancy was on her, she basically ran away and didn’t say a word
I’m still for her father threatening her life to try to control the emperor the more I read the more firm I am on my stance, he never wanted her to leave but he didn’t want her to die either. Damned if he does damned if he doesn’t.
