I think this may be the first time I’ve seen the villainess acknowledge that she doesn’t know what to do to please her father. She’s still twisted in her thinking, but she’s slowly realizing that she’s lost and alone. I would like to see her move away from trying to live up to her father’s plans for her and look for her own peace. Seeing the ML defend his family rather than blame them might make her think there’s a better way.
