I think arent clovis can be the vessel of the darkness so Fiona won’t die 😀 since it is said earlier that clovis has encountered the darkness without dying.

But I think clovis won’t be able to become a vessel since his weak to become a vessel and he needed the magic stone thingy that glows to lessen the aftereffects of the darkness that he encountered when he was a child

Eunice can also survive the darkness
I think in the original, Fiona tried to take in the darkness to support Clovis’s theory, thinking she could handle it and succumbed. But I do agree that it would have been more heroic to save her, or at least save her soul instead of letting it remain in torment for eternity 💀
