I think he’s smarter then he ever shows. In the book he probably knew he was being manipulated but still loved those people anyway. Just like he doesn’t care if she is bad or manipulating him, he loves her so it doesn’t matter to him.

Oooh i get it clearer now, the reason red haired dude couldn’t see Abel’s aura thingy is because he doesn’t have one, just like his stone it’s clear, because he can use all of the elements, and Aisha had both because she’s both jenus and the other light spirit lady, but her light element is currently stronger because she has yet to properly find out about her being jenus, ( this is a guess from my knowledge so far )
