Their reactions are surprising though…normally when there’s a new person, be it a teacher of student, or perhaps someone else who was chosen by a respected person, my first reaction would be high hopes and expectations for them, not immediate disdain. I really don’t understand why many of those characters reacted that way…my only theory is that nepotism has occurred before at the school enough to make them wary of any new teachers.
