I agree, over dramatic for petty reasons. It seems as if she was just waiting for ANY reason to hate him and abandon him. She is very selfish and illogical. He revealed to her that HE was the reason she was able to live a second life and she totally disregarded all of that. That was a pivotal moment in the story and very interesting, but it seems like that won’t be explored any further, since the author decided to have Rein freak out, instead of being logical and understanding of the situation that BOTH of them are apart of. A supernatural experience of being resurrected to live life a second time, granted by the will of a dragon, how interesting is that? Apparently not interesting to Rein, as we can clearly see.

Honestly she’s wrong for abandoning her child even if he reminds her of him because he’s not him and he’s a separate being with his own emotions, but the prince is also wrong for all the lies and manipulation he’s done to basically cage her. They’ve both done things wrong but that doesn’t erase how twisted he is, regardless of what made him that way isn’t an excuse. He loves her in his own twisted way because he never learned how to properly love and she on the other hand loves and hates him simultaneously because she got caught up in his twisted love and truly fell for him before she realized what she’s dealing with so she’s emotionally trapped that way but then really is disgusted and hates him once she saw him for what he was the other way- it’s very complicated and difficult. I know I’d never want to be in such a situation. How conflicting messy dark and disgusting that would feel- just think about it.
