This is not gonna be a popular opinion, but he is genuinely being a bad father right now. It doesn’t matter if she has a nanny, simply sending your child away over and over again, telling her she can’t even come see you, all without explaining anything? That’s going to leave scars on a child’s heart. Our parents kept my father’s illness a secret from my younger sister, and it destroyed her. She knew something was wrong, but no one told her what. They even forbid me from saying anything. She would cry herself to sleep because she was so scared.
