Believe it or not, his reaction to her not sleeping there with him is a normal reaction. Once you used to and comfortable sleeping in the same bed with someone (especially if they’re like the only person you trust enough to do so.) And it becomes a routine, you’ll find that it can be difficult to fall asleep without them. I struggle with this whenever my husband isn’t there with me. 😅
