I rate this manhwa 4/5, great artstyle, reasonably emotional development. However, I hate and you might too hate the original fl Helena, and i don’t mean as in she is a bitch i mean as character building. Idk if the author was trying to do something new with the “orginal female lead is good” idea, but they definitely failed at that. Helena did not come off as nice and sincere even tho the story keep telling us that, she is an infuriating and confusing character. She act like a typical “nice faking” girl and also cause the same consequence as that type, but the story and every character keep saying no she is just too nice, and her setting is supposed to be like that, which make it feels very forceful for reader. So i the end, i think its a high quality manwha, but the character helena building only minus the whole story overall by 1 point.

At first, I was turned off because of the bland looking ML, but don’t be fooled, give it even 20-30 chapters & my god it will be worth it, this plot is so freaking good I can’t express enough, not to mention their chemistry is so cute! Don’t regret giving this a chance one bit, even when the pacing seemed a little slow at first, I love it!!!

I liked the prince as a villain, and I thought his actions made the FL stand out more, personally I didn’t think he deserved the ending he got, he spent his whole life wanting to be loved, though he was indifferent to eris and then cruel but he only did that cause of eris harassing Helena. I wasn’t really a fan of Helena and she almost grew on me till the ending, I was just disappointed in how she changed. I liked Jason as well, and even early on it seemed like he sided with eris and if the story had taken a different turn, Jason and eris may have been the MCs, I feel like how they wrote him becoming obsessed with eris was cause of his insecurities didnt make much sense. I even liked the priest, Im not sure why they chose that plot turn for him, I liked the communion scene but yeah it was strange when they revealed they were related (well not really, but kinda). I liked eris alot from the beginning, it was entertaining how laid back she was about dying, but as the story went on I liked her less and less, the og eris was pretty nasty to Helena and others, and the new eris was chill at first and slowly became more and more unhinged. I really liked Anakin, though I must say he was a little bland, but I get that he’s portrayed simply as a commoner knight. Anakin was loyal to eris, and had little input on anything else, I knew he would not go against eris’ last wish, it’s too bad we weren’t given many scenes of the two together. The king and queen had some weird story line that was a little confusing, so they had one son together, then the queen was pregnant with the second and the king and eris’ father framed the son and the queen for something?? And the first prince had to die, so in turn the queen is indifferent to her second son?? Wtf? And the king reveals before dying that the reason he killed the son even though he knew he was framed was cause he loved his queen so much??? What?? Like at least make it make sense, could have actually had the son conspiring against his parents and his mom believing that he couldn’t do that and the father killing him to prevent an insurrection and that being the cause of contention between them, and in the end Madea basically reveals that she’s kinda like a puppet master, though I hardly paid attention to her at all, I thought she was just there to give it the magic aspect. Idk it just didn’t make too much sense to me. In conclusion, I didn’t really think any of the characters were so nasty that they deserved some of the very cruel endings they got (except for the king, he killed a lot of people, just bcuz -_(“~”)_- and of course the time he told his son to force himself on eris). I think a lot of the characters were redeemable, and wished they could have had happier endings. But it was still a fun read

I’m glad I pushed this reading through! It bored me on the 1st 20 chapters but then got into it along the way. I couldn’t predict the ending of this as it was an original like no other❤️ seriously I haven’t read anything like it before. If there was one, then this would be my 1st. So I gave this 5🌟^^ the only concern I had was I’d hoped for more chapters at the end.
