I would’ve at least told her she has nothing to fear before she dies, “don’t worry, this isn’t the end. you’ll be brought back by divine magic and living a happy ever after with Alecto, known as the empress blessed by god, but this all has to be done so you can have that ending.” Then, made it more heart wrenching by ending it, “but when that time comes, I won’t be able to greet you (meaning she’ll be dead), so I’ll be giving you my blessing now, I wish to you nothing but the happiest future…… I sincerely mean that” (bc we all see by now how our much our MC cares for Helena & how much the thought of having to kill Helena is torturing her). The complex feelings Helena would feel for our MC in that moment and in our eyes, she’d become a martyr. I love it when character just straight up reveal the entire scrip unfiltered & flips it on its head, but in a slightly inconspicuous manner. I know this won’t happen but that’d be so cool.
