okay but the way she commented on his “beautiful lips” still being the same… she does know she’s talking about the very same child she took care of? you know, the child that was still TEN YEARS OLD when she died? yikes

Is it wrong to think a child’s smile is beautiful (which may be behind the lips comment)? I understand and appreciate your concern, but why is that automatically a sexualized thought? I understand the concerns for this story as we have here an older soul interacting with people from her previous life, but she has been placed in a new, younger body (in which she grew up from childhood) and has become a similar age as the boys who had been in her care. Given the very real concerns about grooming, it is concerning / alarming to many of us readers, but this is the problematic nature of reincarnation stories that occur within a short time frame (interacting with people you once knew).
I also see a young, isolated woman (her first life) who felt joy in taking care of two young boys (as either a mother or sister figure), and is now very confused to see them all grown up after believing she abandoned them by dying. Adding to her concerns, she has become the same age as them. It is definitely confusing to her and us as readers, so we will have to see how the author develops the characters to know if our fears are justified.
