I’m glad the author gave her ex some self-awareness. He fell into the typical ‘male lead with a complex when the fl stopped caring’ and had to be beaten over the head to recognize his arrogance but it was very naturally done and it’s nice having an ex-ml that’s more than just the new villain/jerk. And he recognizes that’s he’s jealous she surpassed him not just bitter about the absence of her feelings for him.
Also, both of his previous love interests turned out to be badass women who want more from life than being second fiddle to a man and it’s awesome. Loved seeing the look on the ex and the brother’s faces when the second fl reveled in fighting. You just knew they were a little scared of her 😂

The ex’s father had already pointed out his arrogance in the early chapters so I guess it was a foreshadowing for this event since I picked up on it.
