“Do you know?” Damian spoke, his lips curling into a silent, cruel smile as he addressed Kanna, who was trembling in fear. “At the auction… even those incapable of sensing pheromones were roused just by looking at you.”
He paused briefly, his mind flickering back to that wretched day. His eyes grew cold, his gaze sharp enough to pierce. Even the memory of it made him feel filthy, enraged. “It must be because your body is so wickedly alluring that even humans can’t resist. So, Kanna.”
“Yes…?”
“Do not take a single step outside my estate.”
Her silence displeased him. Damian’s hand shot out, gripping her jaw firmly and tilting her face upward. His touch was harsh, his displeasure evident.
“Answer me.”
Tears welled in Kanna’s eyes, one escaping to trail down her cheek. Her voice, barely above a whisper, trembled as she finally responded.
“Y-Yes, Master…”
Kanna knew well that, beneath his fearsome demeanour, Damian could be kind. Even though she was forced to lie to him, she was painfully aware that it was for his own sake. That was why she had already made up her mind. For his sake, she would leave.
