A…. divorce…. but peacefully……. sounds like a manhwa 🙂

Yeah no. Being nice isnt the best way of getting a divorce imo… You’ll just make him fall in love with you to the point that having a ‘peaceful’ divorce with him is basically impossible.

These MCs always overdo it. If your only goal is to get the ML to not kill you because you bullied them, wasted royal finances, and disrespected the prince’s mother for being a maid. All you need to do is not do those things.
_
Instead, in almost every story like this, the MC stops doing those things AND acts overly nice and kind. That is the issue if your goal is to not have them fall in love with you.
_
In this case, the best solution would be to act apathetic or mildly scared of of the prince and nice to the empress. At the same time, she should only spend modestly and obviously not insult the prince’s mother or perform evil acts.
_
But, I like the genre, so I will keep reading. I do wish to find a novel where the MC acts as I outlined. I have read a few, but none where they romance a non-ML or villain from the game/novel/scenario and instead opt to break the mold by romancing a supporting character or someone unexpected. I am also a bit sick of the MCs who are beautiful, kind, super-intelligent, experts martial artists or swordsmanship, and have a cheat ability or high levels of magic/divine power. Alas, I have said too much.
