By the time Gracie and the Princess gets so much closer and becomes best of friends, hopefully, Cesar won’t get jealous of Gracie. It would be so funny if the hero of the story gets so jealous of his own heroine

Not to rain on the parade, but “you can just change the law” was not really possible back in those days.
_
It took thousands of years in our world to get rid of slavery and women didn’t even get the same rights until after all men had equal rights. It isn’t realistic for this type of change to happen in one generation unless it was directly proposed by the emperor, but even then I am sure there would be a lot of pushback from the nobles and maybe even a revolt.
_
The only exceptions to this would be if the person with the title (a male) chose to bestow it upon their daughter. Even then, there would still be conditions since they would never be chosen over a son or adopted son and would only be chosen over a distantly related male heir if they were highly distinguished in war as a hero and had the support of other nobles. They would also only be able to keep the title until they were married, at which point the title would pass on to their husband.
_
Not saying it is right, but it is unrealistic to say otherwise, especially during a period modeled after the western middle ages. I know it’s fiction, but if she is able to easily attain it, it makes the achievements and progress that women have gotten in the real world seem much less significant.
