Why does she trust this man? Like is he not the same dude who directly involved with her sisters’ murders. I feel like I’d feel nothing but burning hatred for him and the priests

I mean kids don’t know how correlation works like if I tell my brother mommy told me to tell him to do his homework and I had to take his gadget away he’s more mad at me than my mom. Does that make sense? Also the priest was directly involved in mistreating her favourite people I think it’s more reasonable in her child like mind to go with a stranger than someone who abused her “family”(the flowers)
