She’s a white lotus conniving b*tch. She claims she did all that she did to repay the King, when all she really did was watch him suffer, at a young age, and continues to watch him suffer now. If she really wanted to “live”, with her changed look that no one but 2 ppl knew of, why the hell didn’t she just run away to a village somewhere?? She was already old enough, with her medical skills, she could’ve survive a quiet life. Instead, she decides to play house with the King’s closes friend. Watch the King torment himself over her doing not a single thing to “repay” him for what her family did.

Did @wendysyri just, not read the manga or something? She wants back one (1) year before her previous death, allowed the disguised (then) prince to take advantage of her and gave him all the information he needed to destroy her family and intended to let him kill her for her father’s sins (which she had no hand in, let’s not forget).
Suddenly out of left field, his subordinate offers her a way to live which preserved his revenge and remaking of the empire (including dividing up her assets to other nobles), so she takes it. Like anyone, she wants to live, given half a chance. But she’s been listing through the past couple years bc she had no plans for after her presumed death at the hands of the man she loved and is rudderless and unmotivated after everything she lost.
Is the conniving white lotus bitch in the room with us? When exactly? When she was a child who knew nothing of the political machinations of the adults in her life? When she took her own life to atone for the sins of her family? When she helped the now emperor destroy her family and toy with her by letting him seduce and use her? But no, she never did anything to atone for her family’s crimes.
Also, how can she be expected to magically know that he’s been suffering at all from her death? Especially when he’s got everything he was working towards and this is literally the first time they’ve met since all that drama went down. From the outside his life looks back on track, and I imagine all aspects of the emperors health are highly confidential.
