No, I don’t really like this pairing since the main reason he likes her is because she reminds him of his sister which is kind of weird if you ask me. He also keeps flashing back to his sister, so that’s a no in my book. I’d rather be treated as my own person than have feelings and expectations toward someone else be projected onto me.

In my opinion, this relationship is built more on feelings of guilt towards not being able to save his sister and the hope and expectation that the MC is like his sister. This shouldn’t be romantic or it’s like he is in romantic love with his sister. I wouldn’t ship them until he stops thinking the MC reminds him of his sister.

Seconded – also there is a non-zero possibility that the dead mother and the ‘dead’ sister are the same person. We don’t need another gross Skywalker twins-esque misunderstanding.
