Okay that is very disgusting and racist of the author. Using Eastern people and representing them like this is really shameful. Also this manhwa is really weird and becoming more and more cringe by the second.

oh lord, girl get a grip and head back to twitter. you’re the only one cringe because you ARE the one associating those two things when the author never corelated his skin color to his personality, but your brain on the other hand went there WOW can’t even recognize you’re the racist. irritating people exist among all skin colors, you’re the one who drew the connection where there wasn’t one lmao

start looking at people as people and not a color and you might get somewhere

What parts of the Barbe are standing out to you. or the Price specifically?

They didn’t look down on them in any way that regarded their culture, cultural attire or appearance- that would be racist. They looked down on them because they’re a smaller, weaker kingdom and the Eastern prince even thought so to himself- that and only that is what the context said or portrayed. That’s the difference. You’re ready to get triggered and offended but didn’t even logically break down the difference.
The only time the king was ever remotely rude (all of which had zero to do with race or culture) were humor scenes: when his country’s holy bird was accidently called a puny quail and when he was jealous of the eastern prince because of MC acting cute towards someone other than just him, and the Eastern prince misunderstood his cold reaction as looking down on him when he was really just jealous- those have zip to do with what you’re trying to make racist, and the support characters are even excited to encourage him to marry the Eastern country’s princess. And the third and final time he was cold to the eastern prince while searching for the fake demon once again had to do with what the eastern prince himself already thought- being looked down on because he’s from a weaker, smaller kingdom, not to do with race or culture. And MC seems to think he’s some lecherous perv which is a typical misunderstanding trope for second leads- once again nothing to do with culture or race. And him attempting to sleep around in someone else’s home when he’s visiting on official business, that would be extremely unprofessional and the equivalent of a politician having a one nightstand while on official business in the real world- nothing wrong in saying he lacks dignity- zero to do with race or culture and everything to do with his playboy behavior.
The only character’s comment I can see who potentially borderlines racism depending on the individual reader’s perception is a character with a snake personality who’s supposed to play the snobby a-hole and the emperor never agreed with or acknowledged what he said. He simply said he’s glad he didn’t bring the holy bird because it would’ve only fueled the misunderstandings and rumors more. That is literally the only thing in the entire past 4 chapters since the other kingdom’s delegation arrived that can even remotely be taken that way (Jacques Pierre’s comment, chapter 14), and that still doesn’t equate to you turning the author into a racist for writing a character who’s supposed to be an a-hole and whom you’re not supposed to like. That’s what’s so unfathomable to me about you is that you think the author agrees with that logic just because they included him in the story? You seem to be offended by a realistic portrayal of a character who’s intentionally written to be disliked? And everyone reading would rightfully think he is an a-hole too if they have the right morals, but that in no way turns the author into a racist for writing a character you’re supposed to feel that way about.
I took it as they’re people who live out in the middle of nowhere when he said they’re uninformed people from the desert because civilizations in the desert are often portrayed in tv shows and movies as isolated like nothing around for hundreds of miles, remote, and cut off from the outside world, though it was still unwarranted and condescending shade, but not on the level you perceived it to be.

You got a twisted perception. I think he’s quite funny and cute. He’s the typical second lead who gets off on a bad foot with Mc but later turns out to be more thoughtful or caring or just funnily annoying with his crush when she’s not interested. He’s no different than any other second lead yet your brain drew such racist thoughts treating him as different than those guys and making him nothing more than a color.
Everyone else was just enjoying the story thinking he was funny, cute or a bit annoying at worse not a bad guy as YOU decided he was while YOU also correlated his personality to his skin color which is also srsly messed up, and no one else was even thinking but you. Is this what you do when you see people in real life too? Yikes I hope not. As if his skin has any connection to personality. it doesn’t. You showing up and degrading him down to nothing more than a skin color, rather than the complex dynamic person/ character with his own personality that he is, is your racist perception.
Thanks for attempting to ruin the energy of this awesome story with your warped problems.
