Well at the beginning of the story I always blamed all trauma that Dorothy endured on Ethan and I didn’t like him so much but now I see that all he did was because he wanted his love to be at her rightful place but he chose the wrong way.
Well in my opinion he deserves a second chance because he suffered from one sided love for so long.
