The saint she talked about reminds me of a “certain someone” and that certain someone was a Villainess…. I think she was from “once into the light again” manhwa or smth…
I can’t really remember but that saint’s eyes are telling me she’s a devil in disguise.

Ugh I hate this trope. Any time they get a well rounded character or one whose a little more plump they immediately go to “they have a weight problem,” and “they must be obese”. And the character drastically loses a ton of weight to be deemed as beautiful. Her character isn’t even fat. Or overweight. At most, she’s heavy chested. And when did freckles make someone ugly??? And why does the character always have to have a bad self image or think being super skinny is pretty.

Korean beauty standards are insane. Some literally push that a woman should be able to hold a sheet of paper up in front of her body and if you see any of her on the sides then she’s too big. The freckles thing is carrying over from nobility eras where rich/Nobel ladies had limited sun exposure and as such it was a sign of wealth/status to have pale skin with no freckles. Tan and freckles were a signed that you actually worked out in the sun and thus couldn’t be someone important.

everyone’s harping on about her appearence but is anyone else annoyed that its chapter 3 and she has yet to have a conversation with anyone? its all been bs internal monolog in different set pieces. i dont like how simplistic ‘show dont tell’ is but right now there is nothing being shown at all.

I dislike this trope, story and fl it has potential how sad, I don’t mind her thinking she’s ugly etc it’s just about art style it’s the way the story proceed that is pissing me off, 0 communication, assuming thing, and finally does she really have READ the novel? She s the one who gave us the clues that her husband didn’t love aria but her gosh
