I think the “slim chance” is actually Hayden. I don’t think Rania was lying when she said she only started the affair with Landen recently. So the uncle couldn’t possibly be Hayden’s biological son.
Which means, the Duke either got really drunk and did it with Rania one time and forgot, or Rania had an affair really early on with some rando that happens to look like the previous Duke.
I think the drunk theory is more likely… Or just my wishful thinking…

Why do I feel like he was so drunk one night that he forgot spent a night with his wife?
And technically speaking if his son looks like his father doesn’t genetics play a role here?

Yeah I definitely didn’t see that coming. He couldn’t have been THAT terrified of having illegitimate children with all the sleeping around he was doing, he was counting on a disorder to protect him like some sort of foolproof plan?

I also want to think that Hayden is really his child. I really hate Rania if she did not even clear that out to him. Hayden is suffering because of illigitimate claims and rumours.. He had control when he did it with Laura but being drunk and not fully sober and he might indeed did it with his wife. But the wife holding full grudge on him will definitely make him suffer to think he might not be his son at all. How I wish.. Laura might indeed adopted someone that looks like Benedict then schemed all this mess…
I also hate Rania for not exerting effort to fix her relationship with him. She could have tried loving Benedict so he can forget his past trauma.
