The relationship between main character, Lycia and Cedric becomes a little more likeable in this chapter. Is interesting how hard Mr Han Mint has to work to sell Artiezea’s position in this triangle. After all her relationship with the former saintess was her greatest redeeming quality, she felt bad about destroying the woman, that was the one thing she felt bad about. Now, if she saves about everyone else, but destroys the woman again, how would that look like?
Then, she already “stole” the direct connection of that other woman with a higher power. Her magic powers. Is she really was taking the love of Lycia’s life, separating them AGAIN, and this time to have the man for herself. Would she still be the same likeable main character she is?
Mr Mint chooses not to test that. Ergo: it cannot be true love what existed between Lycia and Cedric. Has to be something else. Fraternal friendship.
I feel ambivalent about that. For one side, I think it would have been a greater story if it was a proper Love Triangle: sharp edges and all. For another, I understand the choice of make it less tragical. There is tragedy enough in the story up to this point without that.

I think it’s shown earlier that Cedric really wasn’t the love of Lycia’s life, I may have misunderstood somewhere but what I got was that she actually loved Lawrence when they first met hence why she agreed to go along with the fake oracle to marry him because she thought she could change him. I think Cedric and Lycia’s relationship was always that of a sibling relationship but the reason Cedric chose to propose to her in that past life was to try and get her to help him. But obviously because Tia only knew about the proposal and not everything else because she’s not omniscient or anything, she thought that Lycia and Cedric loved each other in that life. It’s clear now that Tia is only starting to accept her and Cedric’s relationship more now because Cedric has admitted he remembers everything and loves her even knowing so which sort of solidifies that Cedric didn’t love Lycia before the reset.
