There are some pages missing at the starting in those pages what happens is that she him a favour of waking her up as she’s a deep sleeper (she will sleep for quite some time due to using the hourglass) and he comes to wake her up and sees the box which has the hourglass in it and touches it and at that moment she wakes up and is startled to see him touching that
