I don’t like the count but i did feel bad for him in this instance. Noone deserves to have a family member try to kill you :/ still he wasnt the best father so i understand why his children dont care for him, but outright trying to commit murder is too far! Aria and her mother clearly dont care about the count and are just trying to look good but they still have the decency to take care of him unlike his actual blood relations.

From what I’ve seen so far, only those of royal blood can use magic and imbue magic on magic items. Since Aria’s birthright is of royalty, thanks to her biological father’s identity, she’s able to use the hourglass. If the author would make Mielle use the hourglass despite her no being royalty, I’m dropping this sht for good.
