You know technically speaking the empress isn’t evil, her plot is what we see tons of FL experience. She was a good empress and tried to help everyone and it got her killed. naturally she’s going to be resentful towards the duke and assume he has to die bc he’s going to be a villain (this way she’s still seen as a hero)
