While I do believe advocating for yourself is important, something I can’t stand in manhwa is that the families will never treat the FL well if she doesn’t. It feels like she has to earn their love even when she did nothing wrong.

Breaking the engagement but keeping the engagement gift/dowry, shameless. He definitely was not expecting that, he didn’t bring the papers, only the divorce letter. He likely didn’t think she was serious or would tell her family.
Although it is kinda implied-or i think so-that in the first round she didn’t do that so he kept the benefit. Or faced no consequences and it was her that did.
I also liked that she admitted that she’s bot okay. Didn’t do that ‘im fine’ thing.
