I remember reading the novel long ago but updates were slow people really dragged the ML, I couldn’t understand why they hated him so much, the duke was real sht, all that crap he put ML through, I didn’t find his attitude towards her unjust or unreasonable, the duke was always the true Shtstain not the ML.
Unlike many other stories where we never knew the truth till much later, the assshole ML gets some BS redemption, but with this ML we knew he went through sht because of the duke from the start. It was clear as day why he treated Rue like trash…
Her circumstances only kept him more confused, it’s a bit sad that events kept misleading him from reaching the same conclusion as his knight… He should be pitied not hated.
😔 Rue of course deserves everything possible to fix the fked up sht her life became, may she heal and move forward. I hope that magician receives just punishment, and hopefully that ratsht duke is burning in hell
