Awww, so thats why he didnt talk to her… still he could have tried to communicate through letters if he didnt want to talk.

He does have a tragic backstory. However, he put a maid he new was negligent and abusive next to the person he supposedly cared for. He’d lived through palace politics and war and yes he had trauma, but more ignorance than anything. To say he lived to protect her, he didn’t try very hard to care for. No wonder they fell apart and she had no faith in him. He didn’t deserve any. Not that it was all him, cause she could have tried differently too. But ignorance is not an excuse and I’d say he was more to blame. Hopefully they can get things right in this new timeline
