To You Who Desire My Despair
An orphan Anastasia, despite being of noble birth, was unable to afford to eat because of debts left behind by her parents. One day, her uncle, the Earl of Everdeen, proposes that she marry Theodore, a rival duke, in exchange for repayment of her debts, and Anastasia is sent to live with him. However, what awaits her is a life of ridicule, not only from Theodore but also from the maids. She is served with a messed-up dress and rotten food, and eventually, Theodore tells her, “It’s a good thing your parents are dead.” Anastasia is lonely and in despair, but one day she meets a man at a ball, and her destiny is changed forever.

It’s not my cup of tea, the ML abuses her and sends her lover to war then the Author tries to make the lover into a bad person after his death so that we have no choice but to accept an abuser as a ML. Fl is badass and deserves love but yeah dropped because it’s hard to support the ML when he did what he did in the beginning. If this is your cup of tea, give it a chance. I think the art is lovely

from what i heard in the novel she gets revenge on the male lead. there is no happy ending in this manhwa so it may still be worth it for you to read imo.

Not my type of manga. Everything just mess up, even both ml and fl. I don’t care who’s wrong here because both mess up in their own ways.

Through it all she was able to find love with another. Now her trash of a fiance notices her because someone else saw value in her. Really depressing story if I’m being honest, but I started reading and now I’m curious how it ends so I can’t stop. I’m just hurting myself, it’s so depressing lol , not even the usual manga bully or tear-jerker plots, just depressing. I know, I’m really helping sell it, aren’t I? lol but if you’re into revenge plots with no (at least so far) ML or love life, just pure revenge, then this is for you! Otherwise, run away, don’t even start where you get stuck reading it like me!

If there’s a lesson that i get from this story so far is that how toxic and wasteful it is to hate on the people in front of you simply based on the animosity of your past generations towards you. See the people for who they and be nice to them if are nice to you. Unwarranted hate harms both sides in the end. Thats probably the base but the plot is so much more messed up (like any psychological stories…hah)

It’s definitely hard to swallow certain things. I did not feel bad for Evelyn because she clearly knew what was going and decided to leave as was and acted like a victim when she could have easily spoken up and avoided many misunderstanding. At the end she killed herself because she clearly knew what was going on. Anastasia cannot be completely excused but she never had any support or love and everytime she felt something similar, it was snatched away from her, causing severe trauma and not to mention the countless physical and emotional abuse. I hope she stays single or finds someone who loves her without an obsessive “love” and that Theodore suffers for all that he has done, many deaths are also on his hands.

TF is this man at every first I felt sorry for FL why TF didn’t she left castle causing misery for everyone ML is also biggest piece of sh*t. I’m not gonna recommend this to read. Both ML and FL are terrible. Idk why did I read this. After causing everyone this much suffering I hope they don’t end happy cuz they don’t deserve it

I haven’t seen so many stories where the pairings make each other worst and drag for basically the whole 50 chapters. It gets worst before it gets better for the characters involved and explores the complexities of their toxic relationship. The major tag I would describe it to have is most likely misplaced anger on the male lead, and whump for the female lead.

ML is utter garbage. Never wished for someone’s demise like for him. His indirect and direct abuse is insane. His reason for hating Fl is also incredibly ridiculous and it is the source of both plunging more and more into their insane behaviour. This leads to FL doing despicable things just to hurt him. A cylce of hurting and being hurt. Very toxic behaviour, but I have to acknowledge that FL at least tries to fight back. Though the way she goes about is terrible. I do feel for her despite everything she has done, because there is so much you can take and she snapped. Also she realizes too late the consequences. I do think the story is intriguing so I keep reading it.
