Prediction: I feel foreshadowing here. She’s suggesting that he castrate the prince and his uncle so they can’t produce a “legitimate” heir…. and SHE is the old Empress’s and Emperor Akan I’s daughter. The baby that was born when they were in exile. Her adopted mom back in Bellaus was the “loyal aide” no one expected and was passed the child, which is Larriette. So…. Rupert marrying Lari would give him the “legitimacy” of lineage as she is the beloved emperor’s daughter, the TRUE heir to the throne. Because we ALSO learned that the “first emperor” of theor empire was… oh yeah. A woman. Hmm… just saying…. I think she’s the missing princess, thus the reason her dad is VERY keen on keeping her (both from in this life and her past life) from the capital/empirical palace. ALSO past life Rupert may have found out the truth of Larriette’s parents back in their past life and thus the reason he waited until the very end to execute her, because then, no one would have legitimate claim and it would quell all rebellion if anyone else learned the truth of the matter. But with Larriette dead, and all the other nobles that knew the truth of it, particularly her father, dead and gone, the truth died with her. There’s a chance THIS Rupert knows the truth of her lineage…. but I don’t think so.

I got to read the novel spoilers before the thread got deleted and as far as the MTL translations of the series went, you are basically on the money. From FLs lineage to her father’s push for her to be away from trouble for her safety. But I don’t want to spoil it all.
