Honestly I don’t like this male lead much
I understand that he loved Serena but that doesn’t mean he can treat our female lead this way 😥

In what way? He loves Merhen more than he ever loved Serena. Yes, Serena was Ainz’s first love, but then he met Merhen at the night of Serena’s wedding and drunkenly slept with her. Since that day, Ainz was only thinking about how unfair he was to Merhen for mistaking her for Serena and how he could make it up to her. He even brought Serena’s orphaned children to Merhen thinking the two kids could fill the void in her heart. If anything, Ainz is more miserable than anyone else in the series. He loves his wife more than anyone else, but he doesn’t know how to properly express it. I am on Ainz’s side, considering how he was brought up and how he is now. He is broken in ways that cannot be easily fixed, but still is brave enough to sacrifice his comfort to make his wife happy.
